Yesterday, David Vonderhaar, the studio design director for Treyarch, announced that a new game update was being rolled out that would introduce minors changes to some of the game’s weapons, fix out of map exploits, and fix medals & challenge issues.
Of course, the biggest thing anyone wanted to know about were the changes made to weapons. Vonderhaar stated that some were given minors buffs while others were nerfed just a bit.
Nerfed weapons include:
- Gorgon
- Haymaker
- Pharo
- VMP
- XR-2
Buffed weapons include:
- Argus
- Dingo
- HVK-30
- KRM-262
- Locus
- Razorback
The changes are very minor. Vonderhaar claims that small alterations were made to the magazine size of some weapons, the ADS time, and the effective range of others. He also states that no weapon received a decrease or increase in damage.
This update was initially rolled out yesterday (11/13/15) and is labeled as version 33.18.20.XX – the final two numbers vary slightly depending on what platform you’re playing BO3 on.
